Code of Conduct


GDS is an international game development event that welcomes a diverse range of gaming professionals and enthusiasts. All attendees are expected to observe and support the inclusive, collaborative environment built to uphold the goal of game development community and advancement during the two days of the ExDev and Indie Game conferences.


This Code of Conduct outlines the behavioral expectations from all attendees, from the visitors, speakers, moderators, exhibitors, sponsors, organizers, and staff - both onsite and online.


Expected Behavior

  • Respect. Attendees must treat all participants with respect in words and actions.
  • Mindfulness and Consideration. 
  • Compliance. Attendees must comply with all the instructions of each program, rules and regulations within the premises of the event, and all other applicable laws.


Unacceptable Behavior

  • Abuse and/or Intimidation.
  • Harassment and/or Discrimination. Derogatory and discriminatory comments referencing race, religion, gender, sexuality and sexual orientation, disability, marital status, military status, and other protected categories will be considered harassment. Unwanted sexual advances and stalking/following during the event will be considered harassment.
  • Loud, disruptive, and boisterous behavior. Unprofessional language and references 


GDS reserves the right to refuse entry or remove persons who violate the terms in this Code of Conduct, without warning or refund.
