Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use or behavior of the GameDev Summit’s (the “Event”) website, online or on-site ticketing platform, venue, and any associated platform, social media, or digital resources provided by the event organizers (“Organizers”) in any platform, website, physical venue, or medium. By attending, accessing, or using those services, tools, platforms, or venues involving the Event, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Intellectual Property

  1. Copyright Protection: All content, materials, logos, and trademarks presented on the Event’s website and digital platforms are protected by copyright laws. This means that the creators and owners of the content hold exclusive rights to reproduce, distribute, display, or adapt their work. This protection extends to textual content, images, videos, graphics, and any other original materials hosted on the Event’s digital resources.
  2. Unauthorized Use: Users of the Event’s digital resources are explicitly prohibited from engaging in any unauthorized use of the intellectual property presented therein. This includes but is not limited to:
    1. Reproducing content without proper attribution or permission.
    2. Distributing or sharing content without the express consent of the content creator.
    3. Altering, modifying, or adapting content without authorization.
    4. Using logos or trademarks associated with the Event for any purpose without prior written consent from the Organizers.
  3. Request for Permission: If you wish to use, reproduce, or adapt any content or materials from the Event’s digital resources for purposes not covered by these Terms, you must seek explicit written permission from the Organizers or the respective content owners. Failure to do so may result in legal action for copyright infringement.
  4. Reporting Copyright Violations: If you believe that your intellectual property rights have been violated by content on the Event’s digital resources, please contact the Organizers immediately. We take intellectual property rights seriously and will promptly investigate and address any reported violations.

2. Attendee Conduct

  1. Lawful Use: Attendees in the Event are expected to engage in lawful and ethical behavior. This means that you should use these resources in a manner consistent with local, national, and international laws and regulations. Any activities that violate applicable laws or infringe upon the rights of others are strictly prohibited
  2. Respect for Others: Attendees must treat other attendees, event organizers, staff, and contributors with respect and courtesy. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or any form of harmful behavior that targets individuals or groups based on their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic will not be tolerated.
  3. Security and Privacy: Attendees are responsible for protecting and maintaining the security and privacy of their person, property, accounts and personal information. Any attempts to tamper, disrupt, willfully inconvenience, unlawfully access, destroy, or vandalize the Event including any platform, website, physical venue, or medium it is affiliated to is strictly prohibited.
  4. Content Posting: If Attendees are permitted to post content, comments, or contributions on the Event, it is essential to adhere to the following guidelines:
    1. Content should be relevant to the Event’s theme and purpose.
    2. Content should be respectful and constructive.
    3. Content should not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
    4. Content should not contain malicious software, viruses, or any form of harmful code.
    5. Content should not be used for commercial purposes or self-promotion without prior authorization.
  5. Reporting Violations: If you witness or experience behavior by other attendees that violate these Terms of Use or become aware of attempts to do so, we encourage you to report it to the Organizers. We take attendee conduct seriously and will take appropriate actions to address violations, which may include ticket revocation, banning, account suspension, or legal action.
  6. Event-Specific Rules: In addition to these general guidelines, specific activities or sections of the Event may have additional rules or codes of conduct. Attendees are expected to abide by these rules in conjunction with this Terms of Use.
  7. Promote a Positive Environment: Attendees are encouraged to foster a positive and inclusive environment where other attendees can engage in meaningful discussions, share insights, and collaborate.

The Event’s website and digital resources are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied. The Organizers do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of the content.
